His studio practice moves between painting, collage, sculpture, murals, and public art. Across these forms, he is recognized for tactile surfaces, weathered finishes, layered imagery, and subtle references to the human figure. Industrial materials such as steel and oxidized iron frequently appear in his sculptural work, while his paintings often build atmosphere through pigment, texture, gesture, and partially concealed forms.

Since 2003, Ivanov has also worked as a production artist for New Orleans’ Mardi Gras, contributing to the city’s celebrated tradition of large-scale visual storytelling. He has participated in more than 40 solo and group exhibitions in the United States and internationally, and his creative work extends into murals, urban installations, and monumental sculpture.
